Greetings New and Returning DCFCPUG members!:

We have been hard at work planning our “Back to Basics” September meeting. We have been working over the summer establishing a viable process and program to engage our online readership while providing an environment that we can learn, share and explore Apple Pro applications and best of breed industry apps, tricks of the trade and services to improve our workflow in this creative and competitive marketplace.

Invite your friends, associates, colleagues and anyone who is interested in keeping this activity vibrant, and productive.

It takes a lot of work to put these events on for our growing membership (over 222 subscribers!), so if you want this community group to continue, I do ask that you set aside one day each month to attend our meetings and share your knowledge with us…

For what its worth, I have a few special “treats” for those that do in the form of valuable books, software, etc to make your trip and mine worthwhile. It’s more than worth the price of admission! UPDATE: OVER $1,000 worth of goodies to make your workflow work!

So come out and support YOUR meeting!

Our monthly meetings beginning in September will be held at:

    Future Media Concepts
    1627 K Street NW
    Suite 900
    Washington, DC 20006

Doors open at 6:30pm with meeting promptly starting at 7pm.

We have new sponsors, and exciting raffle giveaways that will make the trip worth your time.

The agenda will be posted soon on this main website after its finalized!

Check back daily for any updates and send your greetings to me on Twitter!

Enjoy the Labor Day holiday and wish me well on my well deserved Sept holiday (& birthday)!!

I hope to see a packed house at FMC, and as always take a moment to see what you can do to help our group grow and stay relevant and useful to us all. I’m always looking for a few good reliable volunteers to help run the organization, so if you can support in that way, please send us an email at our rodney@dcfcpug.org address.

Warm regards to all and have a great Labor Day holiday!

    See you on 22 Sept!

    Rodney

    • DC Georgetown Campus:  In the heart of Georgetown, the Washington, DC campus is part of an energetic, historic community. Located in The Foundry Building, the campus is only blocks from the waterfront. From its unique beginnings at the former Foundry Theater, the campus features 18,000-square feet of advanced studios and classrooms in a spacious, gallery-like location. Getting to and from school is also convenient, by car or public transportation. The Georgetown Metro Connection runs a regular service to and from nearby Foggy Bottom Metro stop, while the DC Circulator links to destinations across the city.

    MORE RESOURCES

For those interested in more screenwriting workshop opportunities, Jim will be conducting a full Screenwriter’s two day course at the Grand Hyatt in Washington DC on 25/26 April 2009.  Email for a DCFCPUG discount or check your email for the announcement. UPDATE: Additional deep discounts are available now for weekend workshop in DC, see event link for details.
