  • WEDS ONE: Cost Saving Workflows for Producers

Have you ever had a project where things went pretty well (or even very well), until at some point (post-production anyone?…) problems arose that threatened your deadline, jeopardized your budget and frayed your nerves? Well, then, have we got a seminar for you!

The speakers at November’s Wednesday One, Jason Osder and Robbie Carman, wrote the book on workflows, literally, and they will reveal tips and tricks, specifically for producers, to help you save time and money and, perhaps as importantly, prevent the aggravation that at times accompanies our projects, often in post.

Through case studies, they will demonstrate how a few key principles can make, or break, your next project, if not your business. Jason Osder and Robbie Carman are the authors of “Final Cut Pro Workflows, The Independent Studio Handbook” that rates five stars on Amazon.com

One Amazon reviewer says: “This book should be marketed differently. I (hesitantly) picked it up expecting a very software specific how to book and what I got was a guide to creating and maintaining a successful post production firm. [...] THIS BOOK HAS CHANGED EVERYTHING. The amount of money that this book has saved me is starting to stretch into the thousands.”

Some knowledge of editing software (such as FCP, Avid or Premier Pro) is helpful, but not mandatory, as this seminar is geared to producers and production managers/coordinators.

    $10 WIFV Members/$20 public
    Reservations to membership@wifv.org

  • Need to uninstall FCP?

    fcp remover icon

This utility allows you to uninstall all Final Cut Studio components with the press of a button. Apple does not offer an uninstaller, making removing or downgrading to an earlier version very difficult. Simply deleting the Final Cut Studio application icons does not remove the suite, nor does it make it possible to reinstall it again. FCS Remover allows you to quickly and easily uninstall Final Cut Studio either permanently or in order to reinstall an earlier version over the top.

I thought this would be useful as this was talked about in the FCP leaders list this week.

    Enjoy!
