Beginner needs help

    Hi. I just joined to get help with FCP7. Am I in the right place?
    Right now at the very start of the project I put one jpg on the time line and it shows in the viewer as all rainbow pixelated. So my first question is "What's wrong with this picrue??" Literally, and pun intended. I can't really go any furtherr with the files distorted in the viewer.
    Though I have a lot to learn about using FCP, and am excited about it, this is a not happy start.
    Any help out there???
