Final Cut Pro – iChat Theater
Here’s a great way to collaborate on your project by sharing the video.
iChat
New with the latest version of Final Cut is the ability to share your video with others via iChat. Apple calls is the “iChat Theater.” Here’s how it works:
1. Start iChat.
2. Connect to the person you want to collaborate with. The person at the other end needs a camera-equipped system. This won’t work if they only have audio.
3. Load the sequence you what to have that person view.
4. Go to View > iChat Theater > Start Sharing. They will see and hear your sequence play on their system, while you will see and hear them. Your video will also appear in a small window in your iChat screen.
5. Navigate around your timeline as normal; the other person will see everything that is displayed on your Canvas. However, they won’t see you until you select View > iChat Theater > Stop Sharing.
