Final Cut Pro – Trashing Final Cut Pro Preferences
5 Rules to Trashing FCP Preferences

TIp Jar
There are five rules to trashing your Final Cut Pro preferences:
- Never trash preferences if Final Cut is working OK. Never trash preferences “just in case.” Only when Final Cut is broken.
- Always quit Final Cut Pro before trashing preferences..
- Always trash all four preference files as a group, not just one at a time.
- Only trash files, never trash folders.
- Always empty the trash when you are done.
Here’s an article I wrote that walks you through this process: http://www.larryjordan.biz/articles/lj_trouble.html
