    Final Cut Pro – Trashing Final Cut Pro Preferences

    5 Rules to Trashing FCP Preferences

    There are five rules to trashing your Final Cut Pro preferences:

    1. Never trash preferences if Final Cut is working OK. Never trash preferences “just in case.” Only when Final Cut is broken.
    2. Always quit Final Cut Pro before trashing preferences..
    3. Always trash all four preference files as a group, not just one at a time.
    4. Only trash files, never trash folders.
    5. Always empty the trash when you are done.
