Final Cut Pro – Exporting a Batch of Stills
Here’s a fast way to easily export a collection of still frames

update
This tip shows you a fast way to export a collection of still images from Final Cut.
Here are the steps:
1. Create a bin to store your images in the Browser.
2. Put your playhead on the frame you want to freeze, either in the Viewer or the Timeline, and press Shift+N to create a freeze frame.
3. Drag the still frame from the Viewer to your newly created images bin in the Browser.
4. Continue this process until you have collected all the images you desire, select them all in the bin, and choose File > Batch Export.
5. Click Settings at the bottom of the window and Set Destination to the destination of your choice.
6. Set Settings to Default Settings and click OK.
7) Click Export, and you’re done!

When you hit shift+n to create the still, FCP will automatically add the timecode to the end of the filename with colon’s.
How do you strip the colon’s off the timecode? They are an invalid character when doing the batch export.

Aaron:
What version of FCP are you using that gives you this problem?
