    Tip of the Day!

Final Cut Pro – Final Cut and Importing TIFF images

Not all TIFFs are created equal for Final Cut Pro.

    update

When creating images for importing into Final Cut Pro, I prefer using either PNG or TIFF formats. (Just avoid JPEG, as it displays too many image compression artifacts.)

When saving your TIFF files, make sure you use LZW compression. In my experience, files saved using ZIP compression often refuse to import properly into Final Cut.

I didn’t really expect the compression to make a difference, but apparently it does!
