Final Cut Pro – Selecting the Edit Point

By mouse or keyboard, there are faster ways to select the edit point.

Here are two fast ways to select an edit point (the place where two clips touch):

1. Click it with the mouse.

2. Put your playhead close to the edit point and type the letter V.

Extra credit: You can toggle between selecting the In, the Out, or both by typing the letter U.

Extra, Extra credit: Select an edit point, then press the Up or Down arrow key and watch what happens.
