Final Cut Pro – Edit Toggling
An edit point has three sides – here’s a keyboard shortcut to select each of them.

Edit Toggling
To quickly toggle between selecting one of the three sides of an edit (the In, the Out, or both) select the edit point with the Arrow tool and press U on your keyboard… do it again… and again.
The nice thing about this convenient tip is that it works in both the Timeline and the Trim Edit window.
Very Cool.
Extra credit: You can jump the playhead to the nearest edit point by typing V.
Extra, Extra credit: Select one side of the edit point, then press the Up or Down arrow key and watch what happens… Jumping between edit points remembers the selection state.
