Final Cut Pro – Toggling Waveforms
Waveforms show the volume of your audio. Here’s how to turn them on.
Waveforms On/Off
Displaying waveforms in your timeline takes time to redraw every time you scroll the timeline to a different position. When you’re not editing audio waveforms, or if you are displaying a very large sequence, screen redraws happen faster with waveforms turned off.
Press Option+Command+W to toggle waveform display on or off.
