Final Cut Pro – Copying Options
Three ways to copy the same thing – using either keyboard or mouse. Cool.

Tired of the old Copy/Paste? Well, here are some shortcuts that can really speed things up!
Variation #1: Select a clip(s), then Option-drag it. Final Cut copies the clip and does an INSERT edit wherever you drag it.
Variation #2: Select a clip(s), then Option-drag it, but BEFORE you release the mouse, let go of the Option key. Now, Final Cut performs an OVERWRITE edit.
Variation #3: Select an audio or video clip(s) (but not both). Press Shift and Option, then drag the clip. You’ll make a copy of the selected clip, but constrain it so that it doesn’t shift horizontally. This is very useful in creating duplicate clips for effects.
