• Party with AJA at NAB 2010!

AJA invites you to our 2010 NAB VIP party for an evening of cocktails, food, music and entertainment.

This year we’re taking over one of the newest and hottest clubs in Las Vegas, HAZE nightclub at the Aria hotel.

HAZE offers a colossal cutting-edge environment that challenges your sense of perception and reality. The plush interior and superior service coupled with the latest in lighting technology and a one-of-a-kind sound system provide the premier Las Vegas nightlife experience, making sure this year’s AJA party will be another night to remember. And following his hit performance at last year’s party, special guest DJ, Dan Saenz of JETSET Music, will be lighting up the dance floor once again.

Don’t miss out on the hottest party at NAB – secure your ticket by April 6th.

Congrats to the DCFCPUG members selected to contribute to the 2010 NABshow Digital Production BuZZ activities featuring Larry Jordan. We are the official talk radio podcast for the entire NABshow!

This is a full on, five day production and is a great learning opportunity for all involved, plus you get production credit for supporting.  ;-)

    Roles for DCFCPUG members:

Rodney Mitchell – Lead Audio Editor
    George Kennedy – Field Reporter
    Zhibo Lai – Audio Editor

This has been a very successful year so far for the DCFCPUG.  I hope to see more of the membership take advantage of the learning opportunities and networking connections that you gain from the added exposure to the entertainment industry!
This should be fun but a lot of hard work….

Watch for updates while at the show on DCFCPUG!

    Tip of the Day!

Final Cut Pro – Customize Browser Columns

Think of the Browser as a customizable database – check out the secrets here.

    Exporting Still Frames

Final Cut allows you to rename any Browser column heading that has the word Comment in the heading.

Four of these (Master Comment 1, Master Comment 2, Comment A, and Comment B) are easy to find – just scroll to the right in the Browser.

You can also display two more hidden comment fields (Master Comment 3 and Master Comment 4) by Control – clicking any column heading except the Name column.

To rename these headers, Control-click the header and select Edit Column Name.

Next, double-click the name itself to select it, type in the name of your choice, and press Enter to lock it in.
