The SuperMeet is an amazing event to pull off by the LAFCPUG and BOSFCPUG leader. I got to met Mike Horton and Dan Berube (my FCP mentors) and Claudia F. (SF Cutters). They had a vendor Digital Gallery to show off technology like the RED camera, Cinemek iPhone/iPod Touch apps, etc. I walked by the Artbeats booth to talk to Julie who is our rep for our raffle events. They had a contest with the Jackpot being $1600 Artbeats footage of your choice. We talked , I filled out the slip for the Wheel of Fortune spin, and as lady luck would have it................I WON the JACKPOT!!!!.. They took my picture, gave me a full size umbrella, T-Shirt, the Artbeats prize. I got to meet alot of interesting people tonight. The highlight being that I was asked to get up on the stage with ~1000 people in the room and talk about DCFCPUG!! We are on the map people!!!! P.S: This was the first Supermeet in which it was broadcast LIVE on the net! Given the snowfalls back east, I hope my flight is still a go for Sunday! See everyone soon...
