Final Cut Pro – Creating Longer Slugs
Slugs and stills can be MUCH longer than two minutes. Here’s how.
Viewer
When you load an image or generator clip into the Viewer – such as a slug – before you edit it to the timeline, change the duration by entering the new duration in the top-left timecode box in the Viewer.
As long as you haven’t edited the clip into the Timeline, you can make it any duration you want — in this example, I’ve made it 30 minutes long!
